They are well respected in the area and in a great location with a reasonable cost of living.
Located within a 2 hr drive to Philadelphia or New York City.

Details of unit:
The unit is comprised of 22 beds.
9 of the beds are dedicated to those who are cognitively impaired/psychotic/potential for violence.
The remaining 13 beds are separated by a locked door and are reserved for our higher functioning depression/anxiety and ECT patients.
Typically we run at over 80% capacity with 3 aides/techs on days, 2-3 on evenings, and 2 on nights.
RNs run on 12 hr shifts with typically 3 on days and 2-3 on nights.
Staff may be floated to other parts of the hospital if the unit census falls below staffed expectations.
While the unit is 55 and above we have exceptions to the age parameters for ECT treatments and/or if the patient has a comorbid medical condition that excludes them from a free standing psychiatric facility.
The longevity of staff on the unit I believe speaks to its positive culture as we have several aides with over 10 years experience (one with over 20 years) and several RNs with over 15 years experience as well.
